During this week you will go for altitude training on the flanks of Mount Elgon, visit the Source of the mighty river Nile and immerse yourself in hectic and vibrant Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. In Kampala your race number will be waiting for you as you will participate in the MTN Marathon, one of Africa’s greatest running events. You can either choose to run the 10 kilometers, half marathon or full marathon.
Kapchorwa: the center and source of Uganda’s running talent

The athletes in Kapchorwa are related to their fellow ‘Kalenjins’ tribe world champions on the other side of the border. Kapchorwa is the home soil of Stephen Kiprotich (personal best of 2.06:33, full marathon), Joshua Cheptegei (personal best of 27:10, 10km.) and Moses Kipsiro (1:00:41, half marathon).
